We are proud to present a smaller and more affordable version of the iconic Chopin's series depicting Russian tsars. The meticulous artistry and intricate details of these exquisite pieces make them a valuable addition to any art or history enthusiast's collection. They carry the passionate artistry of the famed bronze magician, Felix Chopin, whose castings of Russian rulers stand out for their masterful execution and real-life accuracy.

Born in 1813, Felix Chopin was a renowned French and Russian caster who also held the prestigious position of being a supplier to the Court of His Imperial Majesty. Distinguished for his exceptional mastery over bronze, he has left an indelible mark in the world of sculpture. His love for art led him to a unique discovery in 1840 — marble busts of Russian tsars and princes, designed by Italian sculptor A. Penna.

Interestingly, Chopin's discovery was sprinkled with history, as A. Penna never visited Russia. The Italian sculptor's busts, while beautifully crafted, bore only conditional resemblance to the real historical figures. However, this did not deter Felix Chopin. Rather, it inspired him. He appreciated the concept of a series of busts and it led to his creation of 63 life-size busts of Russian rulers, which he unveiled at an exhibition nine years later. It was a grand representation of his love for sculpture and Russian royal history.

Further showcasing his keen business acumen and artistic versatility, Chopin downsized his magnificent busts fifteen years later. These smaller versions of the royal busts, aptly termed 'cabinet sculptures', were showcased at an international exhibition in Paris. The transition from larger busts to their smaller counterparts propelled Chopin's works to greater demand. Today, these scaled-down versions come across as more affordable yet remain true to the original exquisite craftsmanship of the 'bronze magician'.

With this smaller and budget-friendly version of Chopin's tsar busts, you now have the opportunity to own a piece of art that tastefully merges history, royalty, and exceptional craftsmanship, all a testament to Chopin's legacy.
