Jean Didier Debut (1824-1893) was a talented French sculptor. Already from his youth, Debut showed his talent and from 1848 until his death he actively exhibited at the Paris Salon. This work (in the original La Moisson or The Harvest Dance) illustrates the dance of a French, rural couple after harvest. Large (46cm,13kg) interior work, with a very fine, detailed study of each element.
