High-quality work of a French sculptor. The author amazingly reproduced the dynamic moment of the fight between two, no doubt fatal women. The sculpture clearly conveys the breath of the fight, aggression and at the same time the composure necessary for victory. The women seem to have turned into wild cats for a while and are furiously attacking each other. The epoch, costumes, hairstyles are perfectly recreated. Large (63cm; 18.5kg) interior sculpture.
Eduard Druot (1859 – 1945) was a famous French sculptor. He worked mainly in the field of genre sculpture. He performed sculptural groups on oriental and mythological themes, but his hunting scenes earned special recognition. Since 1889 he took part in Paris Salons, world exhibitions. The works of the sculptor were sold at famous auctions around the world (in New York, Paris, etc.), are represented in museum and private collections in Europe.
