Demetre H. Chiparus (1886-1947) is one of the outstanding masters of the Art Deco style. This work is one of the most famous series of the author, depicting "dancers" and beautiful women of his time. His sculptures highlight the endless beauty of dancers and the fashion of that period. Every pimple of the suit is carefully prescribed, every curl is taken into account and worked out. The dancer's body is beautiful, and long arms, thin fingers and a raised leg have the power that fascinates, intoxicates a man, and sometimes deprives him of a sense of reason.
This work stands out primarily for its size (69.5 cm in height, more than 11kg of pure bronze). This is a large cabinet sculpture, it will look good on the floor in the living room or in the foyer of a spacious hall, both in a single version and paired with another similar sculpture "Dancer "Moscow Star (large)".
