Demetre H. Chiparus (1886-1947) is one of the outstanding masters of the Art Deco style. This work is one of the author's most famous series depicting "dancers" and beautiful women of his time. His sculptures highlight the endless beauty of the dancers and the fashion of that period.Attention is drawn to the utmost attention to every centimeter of the work: the structure of the dance costume is conveyed in great detail, the fingers of the hands and the girl's facial features are amazingly spelled out. This work stands out primarily for its size (69.5cm in height, over 11kg), hand-painted, which gives it a special exclusivity. This is a large cabinet sculpture, it will look good on the floor in the living room or in the foyer of a spacious hall, both in a single version and paired with another similar sculpture "Dancer " Moscow Star (large, in color)."
