Sculpture "Dancer in a hat (large, green)"

Demetre H. Chiparus (1886-1947) is one of the outstanding masters of the Art Deco style. This work is one of the author's most famous series depicting "dancers" and beautiful women of his time. His sculptures highlight the endless beauty of the dancers and the fashion of that period. Every pimple of the suit is carefully prescribed, every curl is taken into account and worked out. The dancer's body is beautiful, and long arms, thin fingers and an elevated leg have the power that fascinates, intoxicates a man, and sometimes deprives him of a sense of reason. This work stands out primarily for its size (69.5cm in height, more than 11 kg of pure bronze), it is manually covered with a green patina, which gives it a special appeal.
