Ashtray "Rabbits"

A relatively small and very pretty ashtray.It's not even clear if it's an ashtray or a pencil case. Pierre-Jules Menet (1810-1879) was a famous French animal sculptor. Meng created sculptures of a realistic nature, naturalistically accurately reproducing the appearance of animals. He was distinguished by a reverent attitude to his native nature and was convinced that simple peasant life and unpretentious rural nature have aesthetic value. He was extremely popular in France and in England, repeatedly winning medals at London and Paris salons.
